Modeling Guidelines

The modeling guidelines are the most essential part of the COMNET program. They methodically go through the building descriptors for the proposed design and the baseline building, when applicable. 

90.1-2001

Note the modeling guidelines for Standard 90.1-2001 were developed to support the IRS tax deductions. This program has expired and this set of modeling assumptions are no longer relevant.

Note the PNNL Reference Manual has more up to date information on Standard 90.1-2010 and should be used in lieu of these legacy guidelines. Click here to review.

90.1-2016 BM

Note the modeling guidelines for Standard 90.1-2016 include addendum 'bm" which introduces the Performance Cost Index (PCI) and fixes the baseline for this and future code versions to be roughly equal to Standard 90.1-2004. These guidelines are in DRAFT form and your comments are welcome. Please register and you will be able to add comment when you discover an issue.
